Alsco Uniforms has acquired Topper Linen, a strategic move that substantially expands its operational footprint in the Greater Toronto Area. This acquisition reinforces Alsco's position as a global leader in uniform and linen laundry services while enhancing its ability to serve diverse business sectors across the region. The transaction represents a significant step in Alsco's growth strategy, building upon its existing infrastructure and service capabilities.
Bob Steiner, CEO of Alsco Uniforms, emphasized the company's commitment to maintaining long-standing relationships and trust within the community through this acquisition. The rebranding of Topper's Toronto facility and fleet under the Alsco Uniforms name will occur gradually over the coming months, ensuring no disruption to current operations or employment of Topper's existing staff. This approach preserves valuable local expertise while integrating the operations seamlessly into Alsco's established network.
The addition of Topper's facility increases Alsco's Toronto presence to two laundry facilities, significantly boosting service capacity for businesses across industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and food and beverage sectors. Jim Kearns, Alsco's chief operating officer, identified the acquisition as a cornerstone for future growth in the Toronto area, with plans to further invest in sales and service teams across North America. With over 80 mixed-processing facilities throughout North America, Alsco continues to solidify its position as a leading provider of hygienically clean uniforms, linens, and other essential business supplies through strategic expansions like this acquisition.
